Responsibilities & Projects Done:
Responsibilities include designing and developing web content and Multimedia Databases and Multimedia Presentations( using Macromedia Tools ) for our internal site, as well as sites for our clients. These duties include writing code (both client and server) which will run on Windows NT based servers

FARM Sites and Technology Database

The project aims at computerizing the various site and technology details. Updating of data including audio, video files can be carried out without expert's assistance. Conventional retrieval techniques including keyword and full text searching were integrated into a complete package for accessing information stored in the database.

Mangrove Ecosystems Information Service (Ver 1.0)

MEIS is a collection of databases on experts (700 from 62 countries), bibliography (5575 references), unique sites (22 in 9 countries), visuals (300 photos from 22 sites) besides country profiles and brief particulars of sites (1100 sites in 42 countries). Conventional retrieval techniques including keyword and full text searching were integrated into a complete package for accessing information stored in the database. World's first database on Mangrove Forests. This has been judged (by the Canadian Govt.sponsored experts) to be the best of it's kind in existence

Mangrove Ecosystems Information Service (MEIS) (V 2.0)

A comprehensive database on mangrove ecosystems and an electronic retrieval system for an extension education programs is being developed. Object-oriented database techniques are being used in organising the information. Conventional retrieval techniques including hypertext and full text searching are being integrated into the package for accessing information stored. The package includes video and high-resolution digitized images. A multimedia user interface is also being developed to facilitate easy access.

Farmers' Rights Information Service (FRIS)

FRIS uses hypermedia technology as a user interface to access text, images, line drawings, and video. This package includes a CD-ROM which gives an illustrated guide to 640 species of medicinal plants, tribal information (45), gene bank accessions (970). Conventional retrieval techniques including hypertext and searching were integrated into a complete package for accessing information stored in the database.

Integrated Intensive Farming Systems (IIFS)

IIFS aims at computerising the ecological farmers in Tamil Nadu.
